Managing insurance assets on a guardian’s online service requires the consent of all guardians. Consent is required even if a minor has only one guardian.
If the insurance assets don’t show on the guardian’s online service, call our telephone service and we’ll send the power of attorney to OP’s Electronic Signature Service for signing.
Please note that after January 2021, matters related to saving through insurance for children and young people can only be managed by a guardian on their own online service. After January, young insurance savers aged 15–17 years can get limited rights for viewing and making changes with the consent of their guardians.
There will also be other changes in the services for children and young people during the early part of the year. To ensure as smooth use of services as possible, it’s useful to transfer also the management of mutual funds and stock investments on behalf of a minor to a guardian’s online service.
If the mutual funds don’t show on the guardian’s online service, check that the minor has
- free basic custody with access right by the guardian.
- access right to their own current account.
- a valid OP Savings and Investments Agreement.
If one of the above is missing, it can be taken care of with the guardian’s user ID on the op.fi service.

If stock investments do show on the guardian’s online service but trading is not possible, check that the minor has
- a valid OP Savings and Investments Agreement.
You can make the agreement for a minor by sending us a message from the guardian’s online service. Tell us in the message that you wish to enter into the OP Savings and Investments Agreement for a minor.
