FCCA's investigation: OP Financial Group's customer benefits scheme complies with the Competition Act

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) has completed its investigation related to OP Financial Group's customer benefits scheme and market position. According to the Authority, OP Financial Group's operations are in compliance with the Competition Act.

The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) has today, on 11 February 2019, completed an extensive investigation related to OP Financial Group's customer benefits programme, as well as operations in retail banking services and the non-life insurance market. The investigation found that OP Financial Group operates in compliance with the Competition Act, and OP's bonus scheme is not contrary to the Competition Act. The FCCA considers that OP's operations also do not have an effect that would lead to market foreclosure in the non-life insurance market. As a result of the investigation, the FCCA has closed the case.
