How to open an account for a child
- Fill in the application online.
- The other guardian is notified of the application. They must accept the agreements for opening the account in our electronic signature service.
- You will get a message when you can start using the account. You can read the message on OP-mobile or in the op.fi service.
Grandparents or godparents can open a current account for a child as a present on the op.fi service.
Other banking for a minor
If you also want your child to have a card and/or an OP user ID, in addition to the account, the easiest way to activate and order them is to make an appointment at a branch. After opening the account, you can start mutual fund investing for your child on the op.fi service.
