Summer jobs for over 2,100 young people paid for by OP

This coming summer, OP will support the employment of 15 to 17-year-old adolescents by offering EUR 400 to over 2,100 associations to employ a young person for two weeks. The summer jobs available through the associations will be published on local cooperative banks website on 16 March. Young people are encouraged to apply for jobs in the “Summer jobs paid for by OP” campaign directly from the associations by 19 April.

In the 2020 campaign, OP cooperative banks across Finland are donating nearly EUR 840,000 to support youth summer employment by non-profit associations. This is the seventh summer that OP cooperative banks across Finland are offering young people the opportunity to learn about working life.

Associations can use the donations made by OP cooperative banks to hire young people for two-week long summer jobs. The young people will apply for the summer jobs by contacting an association directly, and the association will be responsible for all employer obligations related to the job. When an association hires a young person, OP will pay two weeks’ wages to the association.
