OP Pohjola is the most attractive employer in the business sector
OP Pohjola has been chosen for the second consecutive year as Finland’s most attractive employer among business professionals in Universum’s annual survey. We also maintained the fourth place achieved last year among IT professionals.

OP Pohjola has performed well in employer branding surveys in recent years. The latest study ranked Finland’s top workplaces among professionals. This year’s results are very similar to last year’s.
“We are pleased with these excellent results, which reflect our long-term efforts to provide a good and holistic employee experience. It’s important to us that OP Pohjola employees find their work meaningful and have opportunities to grow in their everyday roles. A strong employer brand is essential for us to retain our current talent and attract the best new professionals,” says Tommi Korhonen, OP Pohjola’s Chief HR Officer responsible for recruitment.
In Universum’s survey, respondents evaluated which employers they find most attractive and what qualities they value in an employer. According to this year’s results, the most important characteristics of an ideal employer were a human-centric approach, employee well-being, work-life balance, and competitive salary.
Significant progress in the IT sector in recent years
In the IT professionals category, we succeeded in maintaining the 4th place achieved last year. This is an excellent result, considering that we are ranked alongside major international tech giants. Over the past five years, our position has improved rapidly, climbing 15 places.
In the humanities sector, our ranking dropped from 12th to 31st place, which aligns with the trend from previous years following last year’s temporary rise.
Universum conducts its survey twice a year. One targets professionals from various fields, and the other focuses on university students. In the student survey published in May 2025, OP Pohjola was ranked as the most attractive employer among business students.
Universum publishes similar surveys in twenty countries. In Finland, a total of 6,172 professionals responded to the survey between January and July. Detailed rankings can be found on Universum’s website.
