Kiitorata is especially well suited to you if you have recently graduated or are in the final stages of your higher education or postgraduate studies. The opportunity is open to anyone with a great attitude and a strong desire to take the next step in their career, as part of the leading financial services company in Finland.  

Everyone participating in the Kiitorata programme will enter into a fixed-term employment relationship with OP Pohjola lasting six months (between 1 March and 31 August 2026) and will receive a monthly salary of EUR 3,150 regardless of their job description.

The Kiitorata trainee programme includes various group activities which are intended to support your personal development. You can get to know other Kiitorata trainees, network within the company and learn more about the various business units of OP Pohjola. The part common to all the Kiitorata programme participants will be held in English.

Contents of the Kiitorata programme

  • The trainee journey begins with orientation

    We will define a clear job description and personal responsibilities and goals for all trainees. In addition to job-specific orientation we will provide group-level orientation to familiarise you with the operations of OP Pohjola as a whole.

  • Common activities give a boost to daily work

    During the programme, we will get together to support, inspire and catch up with others at our head office. After the joint session, you will get to meet other Kiitorata trainees through various activities outside the office.

  • Support from your personal mentor

    Each Kiitorata trainee is supported by a personal mentor from us. Your mentor will help you advance your learning throughout the trainee programme by supporting your professional growth and further familiarising you with OP Pohjola's corporate culture.

  • Learn more about OP executives

    During the trainee period, you will get to know the executives of our business units as well as many other professionals with whom we will arrange several meetings. These meetings will introduce you to OP Pohjola's various operations, current themes in the sector, and our executives' career paths.

  • Inspiration from corporate visits

    The trainee programme will include corporate visits, where you will learn more about the operations of other companies and hear industry professionals' views on current themes in working life. In recent years, we have visited Microsoft, Finance Finland and the Bank of Finland, for example.
