OP Kainuu Ticket benefit for Kajaani Poetry Week – Concert 22: “Prepare for Peace”, 3 July 2026

As an OP owner-customer, you receive a €4 ticket benefit for three concerts during Kajaani Poetry Week. The discounted concerts are 15, 18 and 22. 22. Prepare for Peace, Friday 3 July at 20:00, Kaukametsä Hall Duration approx. 1 hour 40 minutes, including an intermission On stage: Monna Kamu, Minja Koski and Kielo Kärkkäinen (vocals), Arto Piispanen and Eero Ojanen (piano and keyboards), Ville Rauhala (double bass). The concert is dedicated to the memory of artist Liisa Tavi. The programme features beloved classics such as Jäähyväiset aseille, Raja and Elämälle kiitos. The ensemble brings together artists from different generations and continues the tradition of Finnish-language peace songs. In August 2025, they released the album Prepare for Peace through Texicalli Records. Both the album and this concert include, alongside songs from Liisa Tavi’s repertoire, new compositions by Eero Ojanen set to poems by Liisa Tavi, Kielo Kärkkäinen and Sirkka Turkka, among others. The album’s title track is composed by Kielo Kärkkäinen to a poem by Minja Koski. The music blends genres such as jazz, chanson, theatre music and folk.
