We offer diverse internship and career opportunities for higher education students both during their studies and after graduation. Our internships are suitable for students from many different fields and we do not require you to have previous experience in the financial sector. The most important thing is your interest in the field and your desire to learn new things.

Summer jobs

OP Uusimaa hires approximately 50 summer employees each year for a wide range of summer roles across our offices in Uusimaa and Kuopio. The application period for our summer positions takes place in January.

You can apply to us regardless of where you are in your university studies – we hire applicants from first-year students to those in the final stages of their studies and recent graduates for our summer work positions.

The Kiitorata trainee programme

Kiitorata, OP Pohjola's trainee programme, offers versatile and challenging tasks in the financial sector for motivated and bold experts at the end of their higher education studies with the support of our professionals. Trainees are employed by OP for a six-month fixed-term employment relationship (1 March – 31 August) with a monthly salary of EUR 3,150.

Internships

At OP Uusimaa, you can carry out internships as part of higher education studies. The internship is paid and we sign a fixed-term contract with the trainee for the internship period. More detailed information about internships can be found during the application period in the internship announcement.

Theses

We get a lot of inquiries about opportunities regarding Bachelor's, Master's and other theses. It is important for us to enable our staff to develop their skills in a variety of ways. Many of our employees are studying alongside their work, and we primarily offer OP Uusimaa staff the opportunity to do their thesis for their own employer.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide opportunities for new external theses at OP Uusimaa.

Summer jobs paid for by OP

OP Uusimaa provides summer jobs for a total of 500 young people every year through the Summer Jobs Paid for by OP campaign. The application period for the positions is from mid-March to mid-April, more information about the campaign can be found here.
