OP Uusimaa We asked our owner-customers how we could support the wellbeing of Uusimaa residents and our environment – here's what they answered
OP Uusimaa’s mission is to promote the sustainable prosperity, security and wellbeing of its owner-customers and operating region. We asked our customers what kinds of themes should be the focus of our support for local communities.
Based on replies to the Good Deeds Across Time survey, completed in August, the most important theme for OP Uusimaa's owner-customers was secure banking guidance for senior citizens and other persons needing support. Supporting hobbies for children and young people came in second in the vote, and offering summer jobs to young people took third place.
"As a theme, secure banking guidance increased significantly in importance compared to last year. The emphasis on this theme is surely a consequence of the steep increase in fraud and phishing attempts during the past year," says Corporate Responsibility Manager Ulla-Kajsa Lemmetyinen from OP Uusimaa.
The results of the Good Deeds Across Time survey will be taken into account in our donations for 2026 and in applications for Shared Dreams sponsorship as of 8 September. In 2024, OP Uusimaa contributed 1.8 million euros in support of wellbeing, physical activity and local nature projects.
"Measures taken based on the survey will bring our sustainability programme to life. We also received plenty of open feedback and ideas, which we will go through carefully," Ulla-Kajsa Lemmetyinen continues.
Nationwide over 65,000 replies were received to the Good Deeds Across Time survey. Of these, more than 18,000 were from OP Uusimaa's owner-customers.
The survey was carried out between 4 and 24 August 2025 in Finnish, Swedish and English.
