A new Representative Assembly will be elected for your OP cooperative bank in November 2026. As an owner-customer, you can participate in deciding what kind of Representative Assembly your OP cooperative bank will have and how the views of owner-customers will contribute to managing your bank’s affairs. By voting, you have the opportunity to influence matters important to you.
A good Representative Assembly is a diverse cross-section of our owner-customer community. Representative Assemblies need the participation of active owner-customers who take an interest in shared issues and have expertise of their own to contribute.
The electoral system used in the Representative Assembly election is based on election by majority, which means that the candidates who receive the most votes are elected. A total of 61 owner-customer representatives are elected to the Representative Assembly of Varsinais-Suomen Osuuspankki.
Electoral districts
The OP cooperative bank's operating area is divided into 11 electoral districts. In practice, it means that you can vote and stand as a candidate only in your own electoral district. However, you can support a candidate representing an electoral district other than your own.
Representatives are elected in the electoral districts as follows:
Turku electoral district: 25 members will be elected from this district.
Kaarina electoral district: 3 members will be elected from this district.
Raisio electoral district: 5 members will be elected from this district.
Naantali electoral district: 2 members will be elected from this district.
Parainen electoral district: 1 member will be elected from this district.
Vehmaa electoral district: 1 member will be elected from this district.
Mynämäki-Nousiainen electoral district: 5 members will be elected from this district.
Auranmaa electoral district: 5 members will be elected from this district.
Paimio-Sauvo electoral district: 3 members will be elected from this district.
Loimaa electoral district: 3 members will be elected from this district.
Lounaisrannikko electoral district: 8 members will be elected from this district.
By casting a vote in the period 3–17 November, you can help to shape your bank's Representative Assembly going forward. All owner-customers, who became owner-customers by 31 May 2026 at the latest, can vote.
