In 2022, OP Financial Group Research Foundation awarded 54 grants to a total sum of 1,209,040 euros.

In 2023, OP Financial Group Research Foundation awarded 54 grants to a total sum of 1,400,000 euros.

Awards

Doctoral Thesis Award

OP Financial Group Research Foundation confers an annual award for a distinguished economics doctoral dissertation in the field of finance published in the last academic year. The Foundation's doctoral thesis award is 10,000 euros.

The award is proposed based on recommendations by universities on distinguished doctoral dissertations, assessments by members of the scientific committee and a summary of the assessments by the chair of the scientific committee.

Recognition Award

OP Financial Group Research Foundation may award individuals who have significantly promoted economic research in fields supported by the foundation. The award has usually been conferred once every two years. The recognition award of 20,000 euros is conferred to individuals who have already demonstrated exceptional creativity as a researcher and who can be expected to achieve significant results also in the future.

Merit Award

OP Financial Group Research Foundation may award individuals who have significantly promoted economic research in fields supported by the foundation. The award has usually been conferred once every two years. The merit award of 40,000 euros may be conferred for an individual's life's work or for an exceptionally significant achievement or act.
