Recruitment process at OP Pohjola

  1. Submitting an application

    The candidate becomes interested in an open position and submits an application through our career pages within the application period.

  2. Reviewing applications

    The recruiter and hiring manager carefully review all applications received for the position and contact all candidates regarding the progress of the recruitment process.

  3. Interview invitations

    The recruiter or hiring manager invites the most suitable candidates for interviews. During the interview, we get to know each other and discuss the open position in more detail.

  4. Next steps

    The recruiter or hiring manager informs interviewed candidates about the next stages of the recruitment process.

  5. Work personality assessment

    The recruiter invites the candidates progressing to the next stage to a work personality assessment. Through the assessment, we aim to learn more about the candidates’ preferred working style and strengths. The scope of the assessment may vary depending on the position applied for. Each candidate is always provided with personal feedback on the assessment.

  6. Reference checks

    The recruiter or hiring manager contacts the references provided by the candidate.

  7. Recruitment decision

    The recruiter and hiring manager make the recruitment decision based on information gathered throughout the process and an overall assessment of the candidates’ suitability for the role. The hiring manager makes a verbal job offer to the selected candidate and communicates the decision and provides personal feedback to the other finalist candidates.

  8. Employment contract and background checks

    The selected candidate signs the employment contract and consents to any background checks required. Successfully passing the background checks is a prerequisite for starting an employment at OP Pohjola. The scope of the background checks depends on the nature of the position.

  9. First working day

    The new team member starts in the role and gets to know the job and the work community according to a predefined onboarding plan. Welcome to OP Pohjola!

Depending on the position, our recruitment process may also include other stages such as self-recorded video interviews, group interviews, or case assignments.
