From a researcher to Data Scientist: Terhi works to prevent money laundering
Having previously researched the most microscopic parts of our universe at the University of Helsinki, particle physicist Terhi Järvinen decided to jump over to OP as a Data Scientist after finishing her PhD. She currently works in the money laundering prevention unit at OP, where analysing and interpreting data play an important role.

Juhani Koskinen, 26, joined OP just shy of one year ago. Mr Koskinen is one of more than thirty Data Scientists at OP, known collectively also as Financial Intelligence. Mr Koskinen chose his current career in data science out of a belief in changing the world through data. In his work at OP, he is able to combine his interests in productised data analytics, software development, and the development of work skills for the future. An industrious man, Mr Koskinen is also in the process of launching his own business and has arranged for a four-day workweek at OP.

Senior Developer at OP, Harri Heinäheimo has always been interested in the financial sector. Having previously studied information technology and business studies at the University of Oulu, Harri has been in his present role at OP for about a decade. Prior to joining OP, Harri worked as a software developer for a consultancy firm in several banks until struck by the notion that OP seemed like a good place to work.

Lead Develop Toni Vesa has worked in the software industry since the mid-90s. He learned early on in his career that there were more jobs involving SAS technology than there were applicants. Toni grew fascinated with SAS and became a consultant. It was also as a consultant that he first came to OP to develop an SAS-based family of applications called Raptori in 2001.
