The statement of fees shows the service fees for the preceding year

The statement of fees is a summary of the service fees we have charged you in the previous year as well as interests paid or accrued by you. The statement gives a clear and concise picture of the general service fees debited from a Current Account and makes it easier to compare different service providers’ fees. We will provide our personal customers with a separate statement of fees on each Current Account, Joint Bank Account and Basic Payment Account. The statement of fees is based on the EU Payment Accounts Directive (2014/92/EU).

Where can I find my statement of fees?

You will get a statement of fees for 2023 to My archive (Oma arkisto) in the op.fi service and on OP-mobile by the end of March 2024. If you have several Current Accounts with OP, we will send you a separate statement of fees for each account.

To go to My archive, log into the op.fi service by using either OP’s or another bank’s IDs. In the upper corner of the service, first select your name to open a menu. In the menu, select My archive (Oma arkisto).

Go to my archive (requires login in Finnish or Swedish)

You can only log into OP-mobile with OP's user ID. To find My archive on OP-mobile, log into the service and select More. After that, select My profile, and then select My archive.

If you don’t have any Finnish bank’s user ID, you can order a statement of fees as of 1 April 2024 by calling our Customer Service at 0100 0500 (Mon–Fri 8–16, local/mobile network rate) or by visiting an OP cooperative bank branch.

Why didn’t I get a statement of fees?

A statement of fees is provided for Current Accounts, Joint Bank Accounts and Basic Payment Accounts. If you’re not the principal holder of any such account, you will not receive a statement of fees. A statement of fees will also not be generated if no service fees have been debited from the above-mentioned accounts in 2023.

What information will I see in the statement of fees?

In the statement of fees, you will see the fees for services linked to your Current Account and charged from you between 1 January–31 December 2023.

Under “Total fees paid”, you can see all service fees debited from you in 2023. If you are an OP cooperative bank owner-customer, the OP bonuses you have earned will be used to pay service fees. The “Total fees paid” section shows the service fees before the use of any OP bonuses to pay the service fees. Under “Additional information”, you can check the amount of any OP bonuses used to pay your service fees.

Why does the statement of fees not show all of the service fees that were charged from me?

The statement of fees is based on the requirements of the EU Payment Accounts Directive. Therefore, it only contains the service fees that, according to the Directive, are linked to Current Accounts. These services include general account services, payments, cards and cash. The statement of fees does not include service fees related to, for example, investments or loans.

How does the statement of fees show the interest paid on my Current Account?

The interest paid on your Current Account shows slightly differently on the statement of fees depending on whether interest has accrued for every month of the year and whether your account interest rate has changed or remained unchanged during the year.

If interest has accrued on your account for every month of the year, and the interest rate has remained unchanged for the same period, you will see the deposit interest amount paid on your account for the whole year on one line of the statement.

If your Current Account’s interest rate has changed during the year, or if interest has been paid only for some months of the year, you will see the amounts of interest paid for each month on separate lines of the statement. The amount of interest accrued on your account may vary if, for example, your account’s lowest balance has been zero during a certain month.

If you have several Current Accounts, we will send you a separate statement of fees for each account.

How does OP charge its service fees?

Service fees are debited monthly from your account. If you are an OP cooperative bank owner-customer, the OP bonuses you have earned will be used to pay service charges and fees.

To check whether you are an owner-customer and see your current OP bonuses, log into the op.fi service or OP-mobile. If you don’t have OP’s user ID, you can contact our Customer Service.
