How to grant a power of attorney or consent for a user ID for OP's digital services for a minor

If the underage person has two guardians, they need the consent of both guardians and a valid personal ID in order to receive bank user identifiers.

If the child has two guardians and either is unable to attend the visit to the bank, that guardian must authorise the other to activate the OP User ID and Digital Agreement.

Give authorisation by copying the text below in the text field for the general power of attorney at op.fi. Fill in the information about the guardian and child visiting the bank.

Before sending the power of attorney, read the Terms and Conditions for OP User ID and Digital Agreement and the Important information about user IDs (Tärkeää tietoa tunnuksista) document on our website

Copy this text in the power of attorney and fill in as required:

I authorise [NAME AND PERSONAL IDENTITY CODE OF GUARDIAN VISITING THE BANK] to activate an OP User ID and Digital Agreement for my dependant [CHILD’S NAME AND PERSONAL IDENTITY CODE]. If the authorised person finds it necessary, it is possible to link either OP User ID or OP Service User ID to the Agreement. The OP User ID enables the underage child to identify themselves and use and buy products and services provided by OP Financial Group and third parties. The user ID is given directly to the minor. I hereby agree together with the underage child to be liable to the bank for any loss caused by using the online services and I, together with the underage child, am responsible for keeping user ID according to the terms and conditions of the agreement and as required by law. The authorised guardian has the right to update the child’s account permissions to add or remove the child’s permissions to the child’s own accounts. I have read the Terms and Conditions for OP User ID and Digital Agreement which the power of attorney concerns and the Important information about user IDs (Tärkeää tietoa tunnuksista) document and accept them.

A young person aged 15 or older can visit the bank branch alone with their guardians’ consent.  If the young person visits the bank branch accompanied by only one guardian, the absent guardian will also need to give consent beforehand.

Give consent by copying the text below in the text field for the general power of attorney at op.fi. Fill in the information about the guardian and child visiting the bank.

Before sending the power of attorney, read the terms and conditions of the Digital Services Agreement and the Important information about user IDs (Tärkeää tietoa tunnuksista) document on our website. In OP's digital services, the young person can view all accounts they own and use accounts to which they have permissions. We recommend you confirm the young person’s account permissions with your local OP cooperative bank if necessary.
