When authenticating yourself or paying with your user ID, please make sure that the service you’re using is secure. When you authenticate yourself electronically by using a strong electronic authentication method (such as the Mobile key or key code list with an SMS confirmation), using the service is secure for you. You can recognise OP’s authentication and online payment buttons from OP’s logo. You can recognise OP Identity Provider Service from the URL address and certificate appearing on the browser’s address bar. They ensure that you are on the correct site.
Your user ID is your ID document when you’re online
Your user IDs are personal, never give or borrow them to anyone else. Using your user ID is equal to your signature. Agreements, orders, applications and messages signed with your user IDs are binding on you. When you authenticate yourself or confirm transactions with your user ID, always make sure that the service you’re using is secure.
User IDs provided by OP
Depending on your agreement with us and the services you use, you may have an OP eServices user ID, OP service user ID or Corporate eServices user ID.
OP eServices user ID
The eServices user ID is a strong electronic authentication credential registered in the Finnish trust Network (FTN) and approved by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency. This user ID enables you to pay on online services and authenticate yourself, not only on OP’s digital services, but also on public sector services such as suomi.fi.
OP service user ID
With the service user ID you can authenticate yourself, confirm transactions on OP’s digital services and make payments on websites that have OP’s online payment buttons.
Corporate eServices user ID
With this user ID you can authenticate yourself on OP Corporate eServices and do transactions for one or several companies.
Identification means included in user IDs
You can log into services and confirm transactions using your username, password and key code list. Sometimes a further confirmation is also needed when you want to view account details or confirm payments. We will then send you an SMS containing the details required for further confirmation. Please make sure you have linked your personal phone number (so-called further confirmation phone number) to your user ID.
On OP-mobile or OP Business mobile, you can activate the Mobile key. You can then log into these apps and confirm transactions with your Mobile key PIN. On these mobile apps, you can also authenticate yourself using fingerprint or face login, depending on your mobile device. To enable the Mobile key, you need your username, password and key code list. Your personal phone number also needs to be linked to your user ID as a further confirmation phone number.
Remember to hold on to your username, password and key code list also in the future, even if you mainly do your transactions with the Mobile key.
