Helsinki Metropolia elderly care students together with Mummodisko ry will organise a Career Day on 22 May 2019 from 13.00 to 16.00. The event is held at Metropolia Myllypuro Campus, address: Myllypurontie 1, 00920 Helsinki. OP Helsinki is also taking part in the event.

The event is hosted by the cheerful and multifaceted actress Tuija Piepponen, and includes live music by freestyle rap pioneers Jodarok & Särre.

Mummodisko events have been organised all around Finland since 2017. The goal of the events has been to give an opportunity for seniors to dance and enjoy each other’s company with music that gets the hips moving. Above all, the events are about fighting loneliness and allowing meaningful interactions across the generations.

Free entry.

We look forward to seeing you!

Organised for the 43rd time this year, the main theme of the competition is "Music arouses emotions". OP Helsinki invites all schools in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa to become involved. The winners of the arts competition will be invited to the award ceremony in the OP Vallila. We will publish the best entries in our social media channels.

Aimed particularly for the elderly, Mummodisko is a disco event that will take you on a ride of rewarding encounters, infectious good feelings, maximised wellbeing in the here and now, strength for the future and above all, a great time experiencing a shared joy. The perfect atmosphere requires an ideal setting, but we all influence the world around us through our actions and attitude. Together, we can treasure the small but meaningful moments  and strive to feel as part of a whole, if only for a fleeting glimpse.

“Dance, talk, have fun and remember, you don’t need to be anything more than who you are. Your company means the world to us.”
