EIF finance encourages investments

Together with the European Investment Fund (EIF), OP provides your company with two risk-sharing guarantee facilities to facilitate the availability of financing. The EIF’s risk-sharing guarantee facility is aimed at boosting investments and improving the availability of financing to SMEs.

Benefits from the EIF risk-sharing guarantee for your company

  • Opportunity to get loan at lower-cost.
  • The EIF’s 50 percent or 80 percent risk-sharing guarantee facility reduces your company’s collateral requirement and financing risk associated with your project.
  • Negotiating the loan and receiving the risk-sharing guarantee facility are available through OP on a one-stop-shop basis.

Does the risk-sharing guarantee suit your company?

EIF financing is targeted at unlisted SMEs in need of financing for profitable investments and working capital.

InnovFin risk-sharing guarantee is a good financing solution, especially when your company is growing fast or is innovative and invests significantly in product, service and process development. The risk-sharing guarantee facility suits companies with a staff of less than 3 000.

Initiative risk-sharing guarantee is suitable for SMEs to finance investments on a more extensive basis employing less than 250 people. The risk-sharing guarantee facility is restricted by government aid granted within three financial years through De minimis regulation.

Financing is supported by the InnovFin SME Guarantee Facility, with the financial backing of the European Union under Horizon 2020 Financial Instruments and the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) set up under the Investment Plan for Europe. The purpose of EFSI is to help support financing and implementing productive investments in the European Union and to ensure increased access to financing.

Financing benefits from support from the European Union pursuant to the SME Initiative, with funding by the European Union under the ERDF and Horizon 2020, by the Republic of Finland and by the European Investment Fund and the European Investment Bank.
