Two ways to grant a mandate with the Suomi.fi Web Service

A person authorised to act on your company’s behalf can authorise an accounting firm, or an employee of your organisation, to use the OP Accounting Records Service to order and download accounting records. The authorisation for this is granted in the Suomi.fi service. Please note that private traders cannot grant authorisations for use of the OP Accounting Records Service.

An accounting firm can also request an authorisation from the company in the Suomi.fi service. In such a case, the company uses the Suomi.fi service to approve the requested authorisation. See the instructions below.

1. A company wants to grant a authorisation – do as follows

  • Identify yourself in the Suomi.fi service.
You can identify yourself with any bank’s user identifiers.
  • Select ‘e-Authorizations‘ and ‘Company’s mandates‘ and choose the company you represent. Select ‘Grant mandates‘.
  • As the e-Authorization type, select ‘Mandate for transactions’ and add the authorised person or company. For example, you can agree to grant an authorisation to your accounting firm, which will then grant a further authorisation to the accountant in charge.
  • Under Mandate theme, select ‘Seeing the details of a customer relationship with a financial institution’.
  • Select the validity of the authorisation and press confirm.
  • Inform the authorised person that they can now log in to the OP Accounting Records Service.

2. An accounting firm wants to request a authorisation from a company – do as follows

  • Identify yourself in the Suomi.fi service.
You can identify yourself with any bank’s user identifiers.
  • Select ‘e-Authorisations‘ and ‘Company’s mandates‘ and choose the accounting firm you represent. Select ‘Request mandates’.
  • Request an authorisation on the basis of the business ID or name of the customer company, association or other organisation.
  • Under Mandate theme, select ‘Seeing the details of a customer relationship with a financial institution’.
  • The accounting firm should request the authorisation for itself, so that it can authorise its employees to act on behalf of the company assigning the authorisations.
  • Select the validity of the authorisation and press confirm.
  • The authorisation request will be sent to the assigner for confirmation via Suomi.fi e-Authorisations.
Because the recipient of the authorisation request is a company, association or other organisation, you must notify the recipient about the authorisation request.
