A Current Account, a wide range of digital services, OP's user ID and card start using our daily banking services.Fill in an application
You'll need about 15 minutes, an online banking user ID issued by another Finnish bank, a phone to receive SMSes, and a smart device on which to install OP-mobile. Choose a card that suits you best and decide if you want to become a member-customer of an OP cooperative bank.
Get a username
You'll receive your OP username within two days. We'll send you an SMS that tells you how to retrieve the username. A username is required to start using OP-mobile.
The services are at your disposal
A new account will be opened for you immediately. Once you have activated OP-mobile and Mobile key, you can use digital services and make mobile payments. The card will be delivered by post within about two weeks.

You make the most of your banking and insurance services and OP bonuses as an owner-customer
You can become an OP cooperative bank owner-customer at the same time as you become an OP customer. In that way, you will get discounts on banking, wealth management and insurance services as well as OP bonuses which only owner-customers can earn. You can use the bonuses for banking and insurance service charges, invest them in funds or transfer them to your Current Account. By default, bonuses are used to cover the charges of banking and insurance services. Owner-customer prices and benefits are valid only in the bank whose owner-customer you are.

When you choose a card and apply for it, you'll automatically receive a credit decision at the same time
You can choose between three cards designed for different needs. The price of the daily services package includes all daily transactions, and there are no monthly or annual charges associated with using the services.

Quick and easy digital transactions
As our customer, you will have access to our digital services that will make your daily life easier. You can use these services with your OP user ID. When you activate OP-mobile on your smartphone or tablet, you’ll get Mobile key with the app. You use Mobile key to log in and confirm transactions on OP-mobile. You can also use Mobile key to identify yourself for OP's other digital services and various public services, and confirm payments for online purchases.
How do I activate an OP user ID?
In this service, OP issues a user ID which allows you to get your Mobile key. You can activate OP-mobile and Mobile key with:
- a user ID issued by another Finnish bank
- a valid passport or identity card issued by the Finnish authorities, if you're a Finnish citizen. The identity card must have been issued after 13 March 2023 and must be valid as a travel document.
