What is a Currency Account?

If you regularly receive money from outside the euro area or make recurring payments in other currencies, it is advisable to open a Currency Account. OP cooperative banks' owner-customers earn OP bonuses on the funds in their Currency Account. 

How to open and use Currency Account

  • You can open an account for each currency.
  • Open the account at an OP cooperative bank, free of charge.
  • The value of the funds in the account fluctuates according to exchange rates.
  • Please note that cash withdrawals from a Currency Account are not possible.
