Our customers have reported that they've received messages claiming to be from OP Pohjola in WhatsApp.
There have also been scam calls through WhatsApp. Customers have also received WhatsApp messages from a number in which the profile picture is OP's orange logo.

Some fraudsters have requested their victims to send, for example, a photo of their personal identity document through WhatsApp.
If you are contacted in the name of OP through WhatsApp or similar instant messaging application, it's a scam.
Some fraudsters have requested their victims to download an application to supposedly transfer funds into "safety".
A bank will never request its customers to transfer its funds into safety. Neither will a bank ever request its customers to download any other applications that their own. No bank application will ever transfer funds into "safety".
Remember this, too:
- A bank will never ask you to reveal your username or password over the phone.
- Read all notifications carefully and confirm only actions that you have yourself started and done.
- Check the correct Customer Service number on your bank's homepage.
If you use OP-mobile, you can request confirmation of call details during the phone call. As an OP-mobile user, you can be sure that you are really talking to an OP Pohjola expert on the phone.
