OP First Investment provides the opportunity to learn about and benefit from saving and investing from an early age. Over time, systematic investment and growth in the capital invested could accumulate to create a significant financial basis for the child's future. By learning to save and invest systematically from an early age, the child will gain a level of financial literacy that will carry them through life. We want to promote wealth building in Finland – from the moment a child takes their first steps.
How can I receive OP First Investment?
You can receive OP First Investment within 12 months of the child's birth. You can accept OP First Investment via the op.fi service or by visiting an OP cooperative bank branch. Accepting the investment requires that the child has a Current Account with OP and an OP Savings and Investments Agreement. Both of these are free of charge. The account and agreement can only be activated if the child has a Finnish personal identity code, registered name and a permanent address in Finland. A Current Account can be opened for a child via the op.fi service or at an OP cooperative bank branch.
