At OP Pohjola, we regard diversity, equity and inclusion not just as values in themselves, but as the basis of successful business activities. OP Pohjola's sustainability programme includes the goal of building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. This goal is also part of OP Pohjola's strategy. Another sustainability programme goal is to grow the diversity of our governing body members.
OP Pohjola for everyone
We want to ensure that everyone at OP Pohjola can be themselves and that we work together to make everyone feel valued. We give everyone equal opportunities to succeed in their work. Our common goals for promoting diversity are described in more detail here.
OP Pohjola's DEI Guidelines, which apply to all OP Pohjola employees and governing body members, have now been published. They include OP Pohjola's diversity goal (OP Pohjola for everyone); the perspectives, roles and responsibilities involved in the objective's implementation; and the metrics used to monitor progress towards diversity goals.
We will now monitor a new metric for our sustainability programme – an index of our staff's experience of equity. The index includes three statements: I feel safe enough to talk out about problems and shortcomings (with my team and immediate supervisors); we address mistakes and challenges openly and constructively; and we dare to express different viewpoints and ideas.
OP Pohjola's sustainability programme was updated in early 2026.
