The OP Lounge – for comfortable travel

OP Lounge is a new comfortable lounge for OP customers at Helsinki Airport. You can use your OP Gold or OP Platinum card to visit the lounge.

OP Lounge offers an upgraded experience putting unique design, excellent service and delicious food at the centre stage. The relaxing atmosphere of our lounge offers a break from the airport's hustle and bustle. Here, you can enjoy the food and refreshments carefully prepared by our chefs or concentrate on work. OP Lounge has everything you need for comfortable travel.
 
OP customers can access the lounge with their OP Gold card's LoungeKey™ membership and their OP Platinum card's Priority Pass™ membership. If you have not yet registered as a Priority Pass or LoungeKey member, it's advisable to do so before arriving at the airport. You can arrive at the lounge at the earliest three hours before your flight's boarding time.

Services included in the lounge visit free of charge

  • A wide selection of cold and hot drinks via self-service
  • A changing menu of small tapas-style dishes and either breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the time of day
  • Soundproofed individual workspaces
  • Free wireless network

You can visit the OP Lounge for free with your OP Gold and OP Platinum card for up to three hours. A surcharge of €30 per person will be applied for visits exceeding three hours.

Location and opening hours

  • OP Lounge is located on the Schengen side, near gate 22.
  • After security control, continue towards the central plaza and take the stairs up at Gate 22. You can also access the lounge by lift at Gate 23.
  • The lounge is open 05.00–21.00. When planning your trip, please keep in mind that different opening hours may apply during Christmas and Midsummer. We recommend that you check the opening hours before departure from the LoungeKey or Priority Pass app.

 Food and drink

  • A breakfast buffet offering fresh vegetables and fruit, overnight porridge, omelets, warm croissants and muesli prepared on-site. Breakfast is served daily 5.00–11.00.
  • A lunch and dinner buffet, including soup, a hot main course and dessert. A vegetarian, meat or fish option are available. Seasonal tapas and bread and cold cuts are also offered. The menu changes every other week. Lunch and dinner are served 11.00–21.00.
  • A selection of wines, sparkling wine, beer and non-alcoholic soft drinks.

  • Shower facilities that can be reserved separately
  • Conference rooms for 2-6 people that can be reserved in advance
  • Individual à la carte dishes such as smash burger of reindeer meat and classic Caesar salad
  • A selection of special drinks from the bar, including champagne and other mild alcoholic beverages

 Impact of OP Lounge on other lounge services at Helsinki Airport

  • Aspire Lounge near Gate 27 will be closed for renovation from 25 January 2025 and will be reopened in the spring. Aspire Lounge at gate 13 is available to you as usual.
  • As of 27 January 2025, Aspire Lounge at Gate 13 will no longer be accessible with the OP Gold card. You can visit OP Lounge on the Schengen side and Plaza Premium Lounge on the non-Schengen side. 

Keep in mind all the benefits your card provides


In addition to the lounge benefits, the OP Gold and OP Platinum cards offer other useful travel-related benefits. When planning a trip and before embarking on one, it’s a good idea to check what coverage and insurance policies are included in your card.

  • You can use the two complimentary visits included with your OP Gold card's LoungeKey membership at the OP Lounge. You can also transfer one of these complimentary visits to your travel companion. In addition to the complimentary visits, both you and your travel companion can access the OP Lounge at a discounted rate of €30 per person.
  • With the Priority Pass membership included with the OP Platinum card, you and up to three travel companions can use the OP Lounge for free. If you have more than three travel companions, each additional companion will be charged a discounted rate of €30 per person.
  • You can visit the OP Lounge without an OP Gold or OP Platinum card at the standard rate of €59 per person.
  • Children under 2 years old can access the OP Lounge for free. Pricing varies by lounge, so always check the price in advance when visiting other lounges.

You can visit the OP Lounge 

  • If you have OP Gold card in accordance with the LoungeKey membership.
  • If you have OP Platinum card in accordance with the Priority Pass membership. 
  • At the normal price of €59 per person if you have neither of the above OP cards.

• You can arrive at the lounge at the earliest three hours before your flight's boarding time.

• You can visit the OP Lounge for free with your OP Gold and OP Platinum card for up to three hours. The surcharge cannot be paid with the LoungeKey or Priority Pass app.

• You can check the policies of other lounges before your trip using the LoungeKey or Priority Pass app.

  • You can reserve a conference room in advance by sending an email to HEL.Lounge@swissport.com. The fee for the conference room is €60 per hour and €110 for two hours. If you need the room for more than two hours, you can request further information using the email address above. The reservation fee is paid upon arrival at the reception desk by card.

  • You can reserve a shower at the reception desk upon arrival at the lounge. The reservation fee is paid upon arrival at the reception desk by card.

How do I activate my LoungeKey membership?

If you haven't yet downloaded the LoungeKey app and registered to the service, we recommend doing so ahead of your trip.

Create a LoungeKey user profile and register your card's credit number in the service either in the LoungeKey mobile app or online at loungekey.com/opgold. When registering, you will need your OP Gold card and OP user ID as well as the mobile key or key code list. The registration is done in English. 


How to register in the LoungeKey mobile app: 

  1. Download the LoungeKey mobile app from the app store on your phone. It is available from Apple App Store and Google Play.
  2. Open the LoungeKey app and choose “Don’t have an account?”. Next, you'll be directed to the browser to create an account.
  3. Enter your OP Gold card's credit number, security code (CVV) and valid until date. You'll be directed to confirm the registration with your OP User ID and either mobile key or key code list. A preauthorisation of 1 euro will be placed on your card, which will not be debited. Make sure that online and in-app payments are enabled for your card.
  4. Fill in your personal information and create a username and password.
  5. After your registration is completed, you'll receive a confirmation email titled "Welcome to LoungeKey". You can now log in to the LoungeKey app using the username and password you just created.
  6. You will find your Digital Membership Card used for accessing the lounge in the LoungeKey app.

How to register online at www.loungekey.com:

  1. Go to www.loungekey.com/opgold on your computer's or phone's browser.
  2. Select “Create your account”.
  3. Enter your OP Gold card's credit number, security code (CVV) and valid until date. You'll be directed to confirm the registration with your OP User ID and either mobile key or key code list. A preauthorisation of 1 euro will be placed on your card, which will not be debited. Make sure that online and in-app payments are enabled for your card.
  4. Fill in your personal information and create a username and password.
  5. After your registration is completed, you'll receive a confirmation email titled "Welcome to LoungeKey". You can now log in to the LoungeKey app using the username and password you just created.

How do I get access the lounge?

Before your trip, check the LoungeKey app to make sure that your card details are up-to-date. If you have ordered a new card to replace a lost or stolen card, for example, you will need to update your card details in the LoungeKey app. In the app, you can also check which lounges are available at the airports you will use. 

To access the lounge, show your OP Gold card or the QR code in the LoungeKey app to the receptionist. The receptionist will check your boarding pass and the validity of your card. Remember to mention that your card includes LoungeKey membership. If you have no free-of-charge lounge visits left, your card will be debited for the visit. At this point, you may be asked for further confirmation, which you can give using mobile key or your key code list. Make sure that online and in-app payments are enabled for your card.

Things to note when visiting a lounge:

  • Make sure that you have registered your LoungeKey membership before arriving at the airport and that your card details are up-to-date in the LoungeKey app.
  • Remember to bring your physical OP Gold card with you. The digital version of your card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet is not a valid replacement.
  • To visit a lounge, you will need your boarding pass.
  • When you arrive at the lounge, tell the staff that your OP Gold card includes LoungeKey membership. This will ensure that you can use your free visits.

How do I activate my Priority Pass membership?

If you haven't yet downloaded the Priority Pass app and registered to the service, we recommend doing so ahead of your trip. Registration is easiest online at prioritypass.com/op, where you can also create a Priority Pass user profile. If you wish, you can also register in the mobile app. When registering, you will need your OP Platinum card and OP user ID as well as the mobile key or key code list. Make sure that online and in-app payments are enabled for your card. The registration is done in English. 

How to register on a browser:

  1. Go to prioritypass.com/op on your computer's or phone's browser.
  2.  Proceed from the front page by selecting "Submit".
  3. Enter the credit number of your OP Platinum card in the field "Payment Card Number".
  4. Fill in your personal information and card details.
  5. You'll be directed to confirm the registration in your online bank with the mobile key or key code list. A preauthorisation of 1 euro will be placed on your card, which will not be debited. If you cannot see the orange Continue button, scroll down on the page. 
  6. Download the Priority Pass app from your phone's app store and log in with the username and password you created.
  7. You will find a QR code on the app containing your Digital Membership Card, which grants you access to lounges. 

How to register in the mobile app:

  1. Download the Priority Pass mobile app from the app store on your phone. It is available from Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
  2. Open the Priority Pass app and select "Activate your account". Next, you'll be directed to the browser to create an account.
  3. Enter the credit number of your OP Platinum card in the field "Payment Card Number". 
  4. Fill in your personal information and card details.
  5. You'll be directed to confirm the registration in your online bank with the mobile key or key code list. A preauthorisation of 1 euro will be placed on your card, which will not be debited. If you cannot see the orange Continue button, scroll down on the page. 
  6. You will find a QR code on the app containing your Digital Membership Card, which grants you access to lounges.

 

  • With your OP Gold card you can use your free lounge visits at 1,600 lounges around the world. More detailed lounge-specific information and services worldwide can be found conveniently in the LoungeKey app.
  • With your OP Platinum card you can use your free lounge visits at 1,700 lounges around the world. More detailed lounge-specific information and services worldwide can be found conveniently in the Priority Pass app.
