IBAN format
An IBAN account number consists of the country code for Finland (FI), a two-digit checksum and the previously used domestic account number. A Finnish IBAN account number always consists of 18 digits.
You can check your own account number in OP-mobile, the op.fi service or your bank statement.
For example, the previous account number 500094-20028730 is FI49 5000 9420 0287 30 in the IBAN format.
BIC format
The BIC for OP’s customers is always OKOYFIHH. A BIC is automatically added in OP-mobile and the op.fi service on the basis of the account number.
A BIC has 8 or 11 characters. The first six characters are letters and the rest are letters and/or numbers. The BIC is also referred to as the SWIFT code.
Always use the IBAN format
The old account numbers in the BBAN format are no longer used in OP-mobile and the op.fi service. Please use account numbers in the IBAN format in all payments you make.
If you only know the account number in the old BBAN format, it will be converted into the IBAN format when making payments at op.fi.
