Payment disruption on 15 June – No compensation is paid for payment disruptions of short duration according to the common practices in the sector

The payment disruption that caused delays in OP’s SEPA credit transfers was of short duration, which is why the bank will not grant compensation for the harm that the disruption may have caused.

On Wednesday 15 June, there was a technical problem in OP’s SEPA credit transfers, in other words in payments between banks. Because of this problem, some of the wages and benefits of other banks’ customers arrived in the accounts only in the afternoon. This service interruption did not affect the payments of OP’s customers.

According to the common practices in the sector, the bank does not compensate for losses that payment disruptions of short duration may cause.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the interruption.
