Still using the old key code list? Switch to the new version now

Personal customers who are still using the old type of key code list must switch to the new type of list that complies with regulatory requirements. Customers using the Mobile key for identification do not need to order the new key code list.

Following the redesign, the key code lists of the old type will be discontinued and stop working. Login using the old, smaller key code list will be prevented gradually between September and November. The old type key code list will no longer give you access to OP's or public authorities' services. To ensure that you can continue using your OP user ID without problems and access public authorities' services, please replace your key code list with the new type.

How can I get the new key code list?

You can order and activate the new key code list in the op.fi service. You can also apply for the new key code list by visiting the nearest OP cooperative bank branch. Remember to bring your passport or identity card with you.

Customers with an OP Corporate User ID will be transitioned to using the new type of key code list gradually, by the end of 2026 at the latest.

This change only concerns those of our customers who are still using the old type key code list. Customers using Mobile key for identification do not need to order the new key code list.

Why were the key code lists redesigned?

The new key code list is larger (approximately 15 cm x 21 cm) and clearer than before. It also fulfils banks' accessibility and regulatory requirements. In principle, we develop our products and services so that they are suitable for all our customers. That's why customers using a key code list as an identification means will in future receive the same type of larger key code list.

Our customers have also been able to identify themselves with Mobile key for several years already. At present, 80% of our customers use Mobile key instead of a key code list, and its popularity keeps growing. You can log into both OP-mobile and the op.fi service with Mobile key.

By the end of the year, we will deactivate the key code list of those customers who are actively using Mobile key. We will communicate about this later.

Remember these tips on secure banking

  • The key code list is intended for use in a safe place at home or at work. Don't keep a photo of your key code list on your phone or any other device.
  • If you do your banking on your phone or tablet, you should always use OP-mobile and Mobile key. They travel safely with you in your smart device.
