We will make an OP First Investment donation of 100 euros to every baby born in 2025

OP Financial Group member cooperative banks will make an OP First Investment donation – a 100-euro investment in OP-World Index fund – to every baby born in Finland this year. We want to give babies and their families a gift that represents their first real step towards long-term saving and investment.

OP First Investment is both a gift and an opportunity to start learning and benefiting from saving and investment at an early age. Over time, systematic investment and growth in the capital invested could accumulate to create a significant financial basis for the child's future. By learning to save and invest systematically from an early age, the child will gain a level of financial literacy that will carry them through life.

We want to promote wealth building in Finland – from the moment a child takes its first steps.

How can I receive OP First Investment?

OP First Investment can be received from May 2025, when it will become available for babies born in 2025 (including those born before May). You can accept the gift digitally via the op.fi service or by visiting an OP cooperative bank branch. On the OP First Investment webpage, you can register before May to indicate that you are interested in receiving the gift. During spring 2025, we will provide more detailed instructions on receiving the gift.

To receive the gift, you must open a Current Account and an OP Savings and Investments Agreement for the child. This can only be done if the child has a Finnish personal identity code, registered name and a permanent address in Finland.

The gift and related investment services are provided by OP cooperative banks. This is an advertisement. OP-World Index fund invests its assets broadly in the international equity markets. The value of investments can rise and fall, and an investor can lose part or all of the invested money. OP does not guarantee a return on your investment, and past performance is no guarantee of future performance. In the example provided, the expected annual return has been set at 6% because, historically, the equity market has grown at an average annual rate of 6%. This material does not fully describe the characteristics of the fund. Before you make a final investment decision, read more in the fund’s Key Information Document, the fund prospectus and the summary of investors' rights in mutual funds. These are available in Finnish, Swedish and English at the subscription venues and via the op.fi service, and provide more details about the risks and costs and the fund's characteristics, among other information.
