Free online vet at your service
We have started a partnership with FirstVet online vet service. When you have concerns about your pet's health, you do not necessarily have to take it to the clinic. The FirstVet service enables you to contact a vet virtually by means of a video call, during the same day.
When your pet has OP’s dog or cat insurance that covers medical treatment expenses, you are entitled to three free FirstVet online consultations per each insured pet during a calendar year. This benefit is valid until the end of 2018. The service is developed according to our customers’ needs, with the need for free online consultation being assessed for one year at a time.
The FirstVet service runs on a free application on a smart device. Once you have downloaded the app on your device, you can book an online appointment with the vet. During the appointment, you will receive an evaluation of the pet’s state of health and instructions for further treatment, if necessary. If no further measures are needed, you will get clear instructions for home care.
Direct claims service by our partners
If your pet falls ill or is injured and requires treatment, you can go directly to our veterinary clinic partner. Our partner will provide the care your pet needs, and you do not have to make a loss report afterwards. Our partner will take care of filing a claim for you at the clinic. You only pay the deductible in accordance with your insurance policy at the clinic, and the clinic will invoice OP for the remainder of the fee. Our first veterinary clinic partner is Omaeläinklinikka, and direct claims services are available at their clinics on weekdays between 9 am and 7 pm.
