You can now use OP-mobile to manage monthly investment in funds

Management of monthly investment in funds is now being extended from the op.fi service to OP-mobile. This feature is already available in OP-mobile on Apple devices.

Users of Apple phones and tablets can manage their monthly fund investments on OP-mobile.

As with the op.fi service, on OP-mobile you can change the monthly amount invested, the settlement date, the debit account charged and the frequency of charging. You can also take a short break from investing, or stop altogether.

The new feature will become available for Android devices, such as Samsung phones and tablets, in January 2023. Of course, before then you can start (but not yet manage) monthly investment with the Android version of OP-mobile, as previously.

Lower cost investment for owner-customers

The ease with which wealth can be accumulated has made monthly investment in funds more popular. More than 100,000 customers had begun monthly investment by November this year.

This approach to building assets also makes it easier to diversify your investments. There’s no need to time investments: monthly investors buy across the cycle, both when share prices are high and when they get more fund units because prices are low. As well as diversification across time, a suitable fund will provide geographical and sectoral diversification.

You can start monthly investment with several OP funds. Buying and selling of almost any fund unit are free of charge for owner-customers. In addition, with a few exceptions, OP bonuses are paid for fund units at a rate of 0.25%.
