OP-Visa Debit

Debit card for payments abroad and online as well

With OP-Visa Debit, you can pay for purchases where you can do so with Visa: at home, abroad and online. OP-Visa Debit is an excellent card for you who does not need to rely on any billing period or need credit for purchases.

  • Your purchases are debited directly to your account.
  • Its contactless payment facility enables you to pay for small purchases of a maximum of 50 euros quickly without keying in your PIN.
  • You can link the Plussa feature to your OP-Visa Debit.
  • The card is also ideal for a joint family account.

The fact that we both have our own cards linked to our joint bank account makes it so easy to manage our household spending. For example, daily grocery purchases and household bills are paid on a fairly basis.

Pay securely online Verified by Visa

Verified by Visa is a service that enhances online payment security.

When you pay for purchases online through the Verified by Visa service, you will go to op.fi in order to accept your purchase in encrypted internet connection using your personal online service user identifiers. This way both the merchant and buyer have been reliably authenticated. You can identify the web shops that use the services with the Verified by Visa logo.

This is how the service works

  1. First make your purchases and then go to checkout.
  2. Choose Visa as payment method.
  3. Enter your card's number and expiry date.
  4. Click on Pay. Now you go to op.fi.
  5. A small window opens up in the screen where you accept your purchases using your user ID, password and a changing key code for op.fi.
  6. You receive confirmation of the payment completed successfully.
  7. You return to the merchant's website and receive a confirmation of the order.
  8. When you pay for your purchase using the credit facility, the amount debited will be shown in your next Visa bill. When you pay with OP-Visa Debit, the purchase will be debited directly to your bank account.
  • When paying for your purchase with your card, you can withdraw a maximum of 200 euros with the card.
  • Cash withdrawals with OP-Visa Debit are not subject to a charge.
  • Cash withdrawal is subject pre-authorisation hold, i.e. the same principle applies to such cash withdrawals as that to ATM cash withdrawals. You can see both the purchase and the cash withdrawal itemised on you bank statement.
