Iiro Jussila and Mikko Leskelä to OP Uusimaa’s Board of Directors

OP Uusimaa’s Supervisory Council confirmed OP Uusimaa’s Board members at its meeting on 15 November. Two new Board members were chosen: Iiro Jussila, CEO, and Mikko Leskelä, Strategy Consultant and Entrepreneur.

The Supervisory Council meeting of OP Uusimaa was held on 15 November. The Supervisory Council confirmed OP Uusimaa’s Board members based on the Nomination Committee’s proposal. 

Pekka Hiidenheimo and Pasi Tuominen left the Board. Mikko Leskelä and Iiro Jussila were chosen as members of the Board to replace them. 

Iiro Jussila is the CEO of Capital Six Oy and a professor at LUT University. He is a Doctor of Science, Economics and Business Administration. He has professional knowledge of the cooperative system, organisations and management, and wide experience of entrepreneurship.
 
Mikko Leskelä is the founding partner of Noren Oy and a Master of Economic Sciences, as well as a Master of Theology. Leskelä has in-depth competence in strategic work. He knows the financial sector well and has a lot of experience in the world of business. Mikko is familiar with OP Financial Group, as he was the leader of OP Financial Group’s strategic planning in 2010–2014. 

Kaisa Aalto-Luoto, Tiina Bäckman, Markus Johansson, Minna Karhunen, Annukka Nikola and Pia Nurme will continue as Board members of Uudenmaan Osuuspankki. The Nomination Committee proposes that Annukka Nikola continue as the Chair of the Board of Directors and Markus Johansson as the Vice Chair. The Board will elect the Chair and Vice Chair from among its members at the Board meeting on 30 November.

According to the bank’s bylaws, Olli Lehtilä, the bank’s Managing Director is a Board member.
