OP Financial Group offers relief for loan repayment schedules to households and SMEs

OP Financial Group offers financial relief to its customers who have run into financial problems due to the coronavirus crisis. OP Financial Group offers both households and SMEs the opportunity to postpone their loan repayments if the coronavirus pandemic has affected their repayment capacity.

Private customers will be offered the opportunity to get a 12-month repayment holiday on their home loans. As regards corporate customers, changes in repayment schedules will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and guarantees provided by Finnvera will be used extensively. No separate fees will be charged for changes in repayment plans.

“It is difficult to anticipate the duration of the financial situation caused by the coronavirus. Therefore, we want to offer our customers the opportunity to change their repayment plans for a longer period of time. As the largest provider of financing in Finland, we bear our responsibility for the financial situation of Finnish households and SMEs and work in the best interests of our customers in the middle of this exceptional crisis,” says Timo Ritakallio, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of OP Financial Group.

Both private individuals and SMEs are encouraged to contact their OP cooperative bank regarding any financing needs or changes in their current loan repayment plans. The use of digital service channels is primarily recommended.
