The application period for the summer jobs paid for by OP campaign begins on 15 March – summer jobs offered to 1,700 young people

This summer, the summer jobs paid for by OP campaigns offers 1,700 young people aged 15 to 17 the opportunity to get summer jobs in non-profit associations across Finland. OP cooperative banks donate to local associations the wages needed to hire a young people for two weeks. The application period for the summer jobs is from 15 March until 18 April 2021.

In the 2021 campaign, OP cooperative banks across Finland are donating nearly 660,000 euros to support youth summer employment by non-profit associations. This is the eighth summer when OP cooperative banks offer young people the opportunity to learn about working life.

Associations use the donations by OP cooperative banks to hire young people aged 15 to 17 for two-week-long summer jobs. The application period for the summer jobs will run from 15 March to 18 April 2021, with possible local exceptions. Young people can apply for the summer jobs directly from associations participating in the campaign. Candidates can apply for more than one summer job, but may accept only one job supported by the campaign.

The association is responsible for all employer obligations related to the summer job. When the association hires a young person, OP will pay the association a grant of 400 euros to employ one young person. The campaign’s goal is to provide young people with valuable work experience and improve their financial skills. For many young people, the summer job found through the campaign is their first. Summer jobs paid for by OP constitute part of OP Financial Group’s corporate responsibility.
