Trade unions operating in air transport and airports have reported about political strikes affecting the sector. Air traffic will stop almost completely in Finland between January and February 2024 due to strikes.
A strike may cause travel to be cancelled, missed connections or extra waiting during a journey. Changes to travel plans due to strikes are not covered under any travel insurance policies offered by Pohjola Insurance.
