List of charges and fees for book-entry account

The more you trade, the lower your trading costs will be. Your trading fees in the previous calendar quarter will determine your fees for the next one. The list has five levels for equity trading on a book-entry account. The prices apply to listed securities, that is shares, ETFs and warrants.

Trading in securities listed in Finland and Sweden

As an owner-customer, you always start at level 2. If you are not an owner-customer, you start at level 1. As an owner-customer, you pay a maximum of 1% fee for trading in Finnish equities. This fee ceiling is valid in our digital services and applies to transactions performed via the book-entry account.

*A financial transaction tax of 0.30% will be collected on the largest purchase transactions of equities issued by a French issuer.

**As of 14 January 2021, a financial transaction tax of 0.20% will be collected on purchases of Spanish stocks. The Spanish government collects this tax on any purchases of equities issued by companies whose market cap exceeds 1 billion euros.

The foreign exchange charge for international equities accounts for 0.30% of the transaction price (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, USA, Switzerland and Canada).

The charges and fees are inclusive of VAT in the case of services subject to VAT.

Earned OP bonuses will be automatically used to cover the service package fees. The saver's and investor’s service package is free of charge for you as an owner-customer – you can invest without paying a monthly charge. If you have more than one service packages, they will all be free of charge.

How to choose a suitable service package

Select the Saver’s service package if you trade less actively and if comprehensive, high-quality basic services are sufficient for you.

Select the Investor’s service package if you trade on a weekly basis or more frequently or want to track the equity market in real time. For an additional fee, you can supplement the package with real-time market information that is more extensive than that of the standard package.

Custody services

Custody service is based on the management agreement between the bank and the customer.

The service provider agrees to keep in custody and maintain the assets placed in its securities custody and book-entry account in accordance with the general terms and conditions of OP Custody Services.

The charges and fees quoted on the list include VAT. The valid VAT at each given time will be charged. The calculation period for custody service fees is one calendar month. The fees are charged once a month.

Fixed pricing applies to custody fees for book-entry and physical securities. As an owner-customer, you can place your book-entry and physical securities in custody free of charge.

Alternatively, custody fees may be determined on a client-specific basis based on asset value. Fees are determined by the average value of the assets in custody during the calculation period (month). Free of charge for owner-customers, benefit valid as of 1 January 2021.
