Terms of payment of the purchase price in the OP Smart Contracts service

The payment service provider is OP Corporate Bank Plc.

The definitions used are the same as in the terms and conditions of the OP Smart Contracts service.

When the purchase price is paid from an OP account, the General Terms and Conditions of Payment Transfers apply.  When the purchase price is paid from an account by another provider, the terms and conditions of the Payment Initiation Service to the payer (OP Online Payment Multi-bank Service: prior information and terms and conditions to the payer) apply. The buyer must accept the terms in the service before paying.

In addition to the above terms, the following terms and conditions apply to the payment of the purchase price: The buyer must pay the entire price as an online bank payment or with OP Smart Contracts financing offered by the service provider or a combination of these. Once the contract of sale is accepted in the service, the buyer pays the purchase price to OP Corporate Bank’s customer asset account used to retain the funds on behalf of the buyer. OP Corporate Bank Plc transfers the purchase price from the customer asset account to the seller after the seller has filed the transfer notification for the vehicle. The service confirms from Traficom’s transport register that the transfer notification has been made from the seller to the buyer.

If the sale becomes void after the buyer has transferred the purchase price to OP Corporate Bank Plc’s customer asset account, the price is refunded to the buyer.

If the service is unable to confirm that the transfer notification has been filed due to a technical issue, the purchase price is refunded to the buyer only after the service is able to confirm from Traficom’s transport register that the transfer notification has not been filed. If the payment is delayed due to a reason attributable to OP Corporate Bank Plc, OP Corporate Bank Plc is not liable for any indirect damage caused.
