Strong electronic user identifier available to 12-year-olds

A 12-year-old is old enough to have a strong electronic user identifier. With such a user ID, young persons can log into public services, like My Kanta Pages and Kela. With such a user ID, youngsters can also make online or internet card payments, check their accounts, and pay via the OP Accessible service.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, under 15-year-olds’ need to have strong electronic identification means has clearly increased. This need has been further increased by the opening up of society and the need for the Covid-19 certificate for travelling, for example. We are meeting our customers’ needs with this change.

As children grow, their banking needs increase. The guardians can assess what kind of banking services their child or youngster needs and when the time is right to have a user ID.
