Did you know that receiving e-invoices in your online bank in an electronic format is an easy way to pay bills? An e-invoice contains all the same information as a paper invoice and differs only by its method of delivery. As the payment details are entered in the online bank automatically, payment is done easily with a computer, tablet or smartphone. The bill’s details are automatically correct, as you will never need to enter information by hand. The bill is also automatically stored in the e-invoice archive. What’s more, the carbon footprint of eco-friendly e-invoices is only a third that of paper bills.

You will get a notification on new e-invoices in your online bank and by email or SMS

You can be certain of being notified of new bills. You will receive bills well in advance before the due date and receive a notice in your OP eServices. You can also choose to receive notices by email or SMS. E-invoices will not be charged from your account until you have approved them unless you have separately select automatic payments. You can also download the OP-mobile app to receive notifications of new e-invoices directly in the app.

You can edit e-invoices if needed

E-invoices can be easily edited. You can change the payment account and amount or bring the due date forward. If you wish, you can also choose some bills to be paid automatically. For example, you can choose bills under 50 euros to be paid without needing approval.

Simple and secure

E-invoice is a hassle-free alternative to paper invoices, as you no longer need to type long account and reference numbers by hand. Automated approval simplifies paying invoices such as phone bills, as you will not need to login to approve them separately. You will also forego the trouble of appropriately disposing of paper invoices. E-invoices are also a secure payment method because banks carefully verify the identity of senders and payers.

When you're paying a paper bill on OP eServices, you see tips on how to enable an e-invoice.

1. Start receiving this bill as an e-invoice.

Make an e-invoice order while you are entering a new payment.

2. Select a paid bill under Tapahtumavirta (Transactions Feed) and order it as an e-invoice.

Press the clearly visible Tilaa e-lasku (Order an e-invoice) button under Tapahtumavirta (Transactions Feed).

3. Search for the payee and order an e-invoice.

You can easily order e-invoices by searching for the payee by the payee's name, business ID or account number. Keep the latest bill from the payee at hand, because you need to enter either the reference number or the customer number shown on the bill.

4. Just accept a proposed e-invoice.

The payee with whom you have an agreement may send a proposed e-invoice to you in OP eServices. The proposed e-invoice is a prefilled e-invoice order. Just accept the proposed e-invoice and you have ordered an e-invoice.

If you are not a user of OP eServices, you can also use direct (autogiro) payment service to make your payments.

This is how you start

1. Make a direct payment agreement at your own local bank branch or call our customer service, 0100 0500.
2. You will receive a notification by post from the payee of the payment to be debited on the due date.
3. The payee will send the bank a copy of the bill on the basis of which the payment will be made automatically for the customer.
You may not change the amount due, due date or account number of the bill based on direct payment. If you want any changes to billing, you should agree on them separately with the payee well in advance.
