Lower deductibles of Health Insurance's Medical Treatment Cover will have a larger effect on insurance premiums as of 1 April 2024

When the price of Health Insurance increases, you can influence the amount of your insurance premium by increasing the deductible for Medical Treatment Cover if you wish. In addition to the deductible, the price of Health Insurance is affected by the insured person’s age and place of residence, the selected insurance cover, and the sum insured. On this page, you can learn how to increase the deductible amount if you wish to do so, and why the price of Health Insurance is increasing.

Why have the prices for Health insurance risen?

Increased healthcare costs combined with the active use of the insurance policy are reflected in the prices of health insurance policies. This also applies to your insurance. The impact has been greatest on Health Insurance policies that include Medical Treatment Cover for injuries and illnesses and have a deductible of less than 250 euros.

You can check the your Health Insurance’s deductible for Medical Treatment Cover in the My policies section of the op.fi service or in OP-mobile or your policy document.

As the price of health insurance is rising, we want to tell you how you can affect your insurance premium by raising the deductible.
