Benefits for owner-customers on daily services

As an OP cooperative bank owner-customer, you will receive versatile daily services at lower cost. You will automatically benefit from benefits and discounts to which you are entitled. Only as an owner-customer, you will get:

  1. Interest on the Current account
  2. Daily banking services without monthly charges until 31 December 2024
  3. Product Protection Insurance for card purchases

 

Interest on the Current account

As an owner-customer, you get interest on your Current account as of 1 November 2023. The interest rate is 0.25%.

This benefit also applies to a child's Current account, Joint family accounts and Rent deposit accounts.

An OP cooperative bank owner-customer with a Current account with standard terms and conditions and owner-customer membership in the same OP cooperative bank will be paid interest. If the account has several holders, all account holders must be the same OP cooperative bank's owner-customers.

Otherwise, the interest rate is 0.00%.

Daily banking services without monthly charges until 31 December 2024

You’ll be able to use daily banking services for personal customers free of monthly charges 1 October 2023 to 31 December 2024 in the OP cooperative bank whose owner-customer you are.

The benefit includes:

  1. Current account
  2. OP’s user ID and digital services
  3. One or several cards

The benefit concerns both individual products and daily services packages. Its value depends on the products and services you use. For example, the price of the daily services package for personal customers starts from €3.95 per month and for owner-customers aged under 30 from €0 per month. The Current account is already free of charge for owner-customers in the OP cooperative bank where they are owner-customers.

Please note that service charges are always debited afterwards. It means that service charges for previous months can be debited from you even after October.

Product Protection Insurance for card purchases

As an OP cooperative bank owner-customer, you will have one year of Product Protection Insurance cover from the time of purchase for purchases made with OP Gold, OP Platinum or OP Duo. The cover for purchases made with OP Classic is valid for 6 months from the time of purchase. The insurance is valid automatically when paying with an OP credit card using either the credit or debit function.

All owner-customer benefits will be available to you from the moment you join. You can easily check whether you are already an owner-customer.

Benefits of saving and investment for owner-customers

As an owner-customer, you will receive an Equity Savings Account and Book-entry account free of charge. In addition, you will receive discounts on trading fees.

Discounts on insurance policies for owner-customers

As our owner-customer, you’ll get ample discounts on insurance policies. Moreover, earned OP bonuses are used for the payment of your insurance bills.

OP bonuses with monetary value for owner-customers

As an owner-customer, you get OP bonuses from your transactions. The bonuses will be used to pay for banking and insurance services.
